Your permit will be issued within 28 days as long as you have submitted the required supporting documentation with your application - please don't call to check on its progress. We will reject applications if the required documents are missing.
Business Quarter resident permits issued to city centre residents are only valid between 5pm-9am Monday to Friday, and all day at weekends and UK bank holidays. During the hours of 9am-5pm you will have to pay for parking.
When you apply, you need to upload proof of address documents, such as a recent council tax or utility bill. You must upload these documents at the same time as you submit the application. If we do not receive your supporting documents your application will be refused.
If you are on the Council Tax and/or Electoral Register you can apply online for a resident and/or visitor permit.
Please allow 28 working days for your application to be processed.
If you live in a property which spans multiple numbers, e.g. 40-48, please just enter the first number in the 'House No' field, e.g. 40, on entering the application.
You should apply to renew your existing permit 28 days before it expires to avoid it becoming invalid and risk incurring a penalty charge notice.
Your nearest One Stop Shop can help you apply for a permit online if you call 0151 233 3011 to make an appointment.
While we understand residents may find is difficult to park in their street when non-residents use it to park on, we can only create new residents parking zones when external funding is secured, for example, as part of a large approved development in the area.
However, if access to your driveway is often blocked by parked cars, you may be able to apply for an ‘H’ mark to be painted on the street outside your property. Find out more about 'H' marking.
